Winifred Leung, MD
Dr. Leung earned her medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. Following her internship and residency at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Dr. Leung completed a breast imaging fellowship in 2009.
As a board certified diagnostic radiologist with fellowship training in women’s imaging, Dr. Leung specializes in all modalities of breast imaging and intervention with a particular interest in breast MRI. She also has a strong interest in obstetric and gynecologic imaging as well as abdominal imaging.
Dr. Leung has spoken at numerous community and physician events in the tri-counties. She is on the advisory board for the Santa Barbara Breast Care Alliance, an NAPBC accredited breast center without walls. She attends weekly interdisciplinary meetings with breast disease specialists. She has participated in the national Automated Whole Breast Ultrasound (ABUS) trials conducted by U-Systems in conjunction with moving the technology into the mainstream of breast diagnosis. She currently is involved with Dr. Dean as part of an FDA trial for a new device for Whole Breast Ultrasound Screening. In conjunction with Dr. Dean, Dr. Leung’s goal is to provide state of the art health care to the women of the Central Coast.
Judy C. Dean, MD
Dr. Dean earned her MD degree at Loma Linda University in 1979, and was elected to Alpha-Omega-Alpha honors medical society. She completed a one year internship and three years of residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Loma Linda University, where she served as Chief Resident of Radiology. She then did an advanced fellowship in ultrasound and body imaging at Stanford University, and subsequently spent a year as a faculty radiologist at Stanford.
A board certified Diagnostic Radiologist since 1984, Dr. Dean has specialized in women’s imaging and breast diagnosis since 1989. In addition to interpreting thousands of mammograms every year, Dr. Dean is actively involved in breast related endeavors on the local, state, and national level.
Dr. Dean was the first in the Tri-County region to utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Detection), cryoablation, and the first to offer Automated Whole Breast Ultrasound Screening (ABUS). She has been recruited to test numerous new imaging devices, and is currently part of an FDA trial for a new device for Whole Breast Ultrasound Screening.
Laurel Hansch, MD
Dr. Hansch is an experienced breast imager, highly skilled in breast ultrasound, mammography and intervention. She is the current president of South Coast Radiological Association and serves in multiple leadership positions within the Cottage Health Systems medical staff.
Dr. Hansch is fellowship trained in imaging and intervention at University of Southern California where she also performed her radiology residency. She is a graduate of Hahnemann University Medical School and an alumna of University of California Santa Barbara. Before joining Pueblo Radiology she was Director of Mammography at Olive View UCLA.
Jennifer Kosek, MD
Dr. Kosek earned her medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. Following her internship at Harbor UCLA Medical Center and radiology residency at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, Dr. Kosek completed a body imaging fellowship in 2013 at UCLA.
As a board certified diagnostic radiologist with fellowship training in body imaging, Dr. Kosek specializes in body imaging in all modalities and has a strong interest in womens imaging, including pelvic MRI as well as breast imaging and intervention.
Dr. Kosek has participated in an Automated Whole Breast Ultrasound (ABUS) trial conducted by U-Systems aimed at improving screening ultrasound technology. She has also spoken at local community events regarding breast imaging.
