Good Faith Estimate

Your Rights Under the No Surprises Act

As part of our commitment to transparency and patient-centered care, Santa Barbara Women’s Imaging Center complies with the federal No Surprises Act, which protects individuals who are uninsured or not using insurance for their care.

You are entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected cost of non-emergency medical items or services. This estimate includes related expenses such as diagnostic tests, prescription medications, equipment, and facility fees.

  • You have the right to receive a written Good Faith Estimate at least one business day before your scheduled service.
  • You may request a Good Faith Estimate at any time from our office or any healthcare provider of your choice, even before scheduling.
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charge.

We encourage you to keep a copy or photo of your estimate for your records.

For questions or to learn more about your rights under this law, please contact our office. We are here to ensure your experience is clear, fair, and respectful at every step.
